Employment Hero November/December 2022 Feature Updates (NZ)

What is it?

In April, Employment Hero released a new field, "Contractor ABN", in the employee Tax File Declaration screen. 

Why does it matter?

This field is only relevant and compulsory for any payee assigned to the superannuation income stream employment type and must be completed as part of the Phase 2 STP requirements.

How does it work?

 This information can now also be added via the following additional methods:

• Employee import: this allows the data to be added in bulk, either to update existing employees or when adding new employees to the platform
• API: we have added a new property, "contractorABN", to the employee unstructured API

What is it?

Super batches are batches of your payroll super payments ready to be submitted to your clearing houses and paid.

Why does it matter?

Employment Hero have added back the functionality to download a super batch as a pdf. This adds vital compatibility and versatility to the product. They have also added in the bank payment details to the PDF download so that the information can be sent to the customers.
